Non-Exclusive AGENCY offering the whole spectrum of RINA survey services for yachts.
RINA (Registro Italiano Navale) is one of the leading Classification Societies worldwide. Apart from classification services and inspections, RINA is appointed by virtually all relevant maritime Administrations (MCA, I.O.M., Cayman Islands, Marshall Islands, St. Vincent, Malta, etc) to carry out, under delegation, statutory inspections of commercial yachts of all sizes.
Taking advantage of the strategic location of Palma de Mallorca we created a ONE-STOP-SHOP facility where locally based or transiting yachts on their way to-or-from the Americas may call-in and fulfil with a single stop both their RINA classification and flag inspection requirements.
Furthermore, there is a large number of large yachts already in service which were either built without class or whose class had been let expiry by not having fulfilled (or having defaulted) survey schedule requirements. As Classification with a prime Classification Society is a firm prerequisite for Commercial Certification with the MCA and other main Administrations and therefore an important matter.
Given the current economic climate, the Commercial status of a yacht is more than ever regarded as an added value in terms of both being able to generate income from charter and for general re-sale value alike.
RINA believes that this new set-up in Palma will bring them closer to the needs of its regular clientele and at the same time be able to evaluate the conditions of other vessels in order to be able to consider them for re-classification.
This does not mean in any way, granting any sort of “technical discounts” but simply “give a fair chance” to those vessels which are genuinely willing to be classed.
