Roby Scalvini   Principal Surveyor

Proficient ocean sailor and knowledgeable marine technician, Roby performs all types of Surveys, however, he specialises in Condition & Valuation Surveys, Damage & Risk Assessment, Accident Investigation, MCA compliance work, as well as yard work Supervision of Luxury Sail and Motor Yachts worldwide.
Roby holds a Diploma in Marine Surveying with accreditation in Small Crafts from The National Sea Training Centre in the UK and he is a C.S.W.I.P. Certified Welding Inspector.
Peter Welsh  Associate Surveyor

Peter’s lifetime experience with the marine industry spans from Shipbuilding large tonnage commercial vessels on the river Tyne to Surveying & Consulting, through the management of leading UK companies building both GRP, steel and wooden yachts.
He now specializes on Pre-Purchase Surveys and Insurance Surveys of Luxury Sail and Motor Yachts.
Peter is well versed with all types of vessels and construction media and has a distinct personal interest for Classic Yachts Surveying and Restoration Supervision.
Jon Sowerby  Junior Surveyor

Jon joined Marine Survey Bureau in early 2006 after a career as Yacht Captain. He has successfully completed the Diploma in Small Craft Surveying organised by the ‘Lloyd’s Maritime Academy’ in the UK.
Jon also performs various types of Marine Surveys but he specialises in the surveying of production Sail & Motor Yachts.
Carlos Lopez Canepa  Naval Architect

Carlos graduated in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering at the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina) in the year 1979. He is also an experienced yachtsman and he has professionally sailed thousand of miles worldwide Carlos specializes in Design work, Stability Assessment as well as Engineering of onboard systems for New Build & Refit projects.
Martina Diepgrond  Office Manager

Martina joined Marine Survey Bureau in 2006 after various administrative positions in Marine related service companies. She fluently speaks English, Spanish, German and Dutch. Her main duty is the day-to-day management and Administration of our Palma office.
