Roby Scalvini   Principal Surveyor

Roby is an Accredited Marine Surveyor and performs all types of Surveys, however, he specialises in Condition & Valuation Surveys, Damage & Risk Assessment, Accident Investigation, MCA compliance work, as well as yard work Supervision of Luxury Sail and Motor Yachts worldwide. Roby holds a Diploma in Marine Surveying with accreditation in Small Crafts from The National Sea Training Centre in the UK and he is a C.S.W.I.P. Certified Welding Inspector.
Jon Sowerby  Associate Surveyor

Jon joined Marine Survey Bureau in early 2006 after a career as Yacht Captain. He has successfully completed the Diploma in Small Craft Surveying organised by the ‘Lloyd’s Maritime Academy’ in the UK. He is currently a SAMS Surveyor Associate and performs various types of Marine Surveys but he specialises in the surveying of production Sail & Motor Yachts.
Felix Bussmann  Associate Surveyor & NDE Specialist

After completing an apprenticeship program at the ‘International Boatbuilding Training College’ in Lowestoft (UK) in 1997 and obtaining a Diploma with Distinction from the same, Felix continued working as shipwright and project manager in various boatyards in the UK & Italy. He is well versed with various types of vessels and construction media but has a distinct personal interest for Classic Yachts. Felix specialises in Non-Destructive Examinations, mostly Ultrasound Flaw Detection and Infrared Thermography and holds an Ultrasonic ‘Level II’ certificate. He is currently a SAMS Surveyor Associate.
Carlos Lopez Canepa  Naval Architect & Surveyor

Carlos graduated in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering at the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina) in the year 1979. He is also an experienced yachtsman and he has professionally sailed thousand of miles worldwide Carlos specializes in Design work, Stability Assessment as well as Engineering of onboard systems for New Build & Refit projects.
Corine Valla  Office Manager

Corine joined Marine Survey Bureau in early 2008 after various administrative positions in Marine related service companies around the world. She fluently speaks English, Spanish, and French. Her main duty is the day-to-day management and Administration of our Palma office.
